Flexible Paper Sculptures
Artist, Li Hongbo’s flexible paper sculpture might just freak you out at first. But then you’re left awe struck, wondering just how he accomplished it.
A former book editor/designer, Hongbo became fascinated by Chinese paper decorations called paper gourds. His sculptures work on the same principal as the decorations - layers of thin paper are glued down and stored flat, when opened they reveal an accordion like flexibility.
