TRIBUTE IN LIGHT Every year since 2002 the Municipal Art Society of NYC  (MAS) has beamed the Tribute Lights into the sky on September 11th. The lights reach 4 miles into the sky, echoing the shape and orientation of the Twin Towers. They say it’s the strongest shaft of light ever projected from earth into the night sky. Tribute in Lights was designed by John Bennett, Gustavo Bonevardi, Richard Nash Gould, Julian Laverdiere and Paul Myoda with lighting consultant Paul Marantz; all brought together by MAS & Creative Time.  Here they are, shot shining through the The Big Dipper.
