Lucy Knisley is by far one of my favorite illustrators. And her book French Milk is a darling account of her month long stay in Paris. It’s composed of her daily journal entries and drawings that give a sweet account of her foodie obessions, Parisian sites & men…all while she works through those overwhelming emotions of that “what now” time of life.
What’s truly magnificent is that these pages of French Milk were just her daily doodles, but one look at this book and you’ll see a master at their craft.
Lucy has a brilliant site called Stop Paying Attention where she continues to share her projects in progress and details her life in panels.
