Paper Cuts Spring Edition – “You Are Beautiful”

Spring paper cuts edition from iolabs. iolabs is a photographic, fine art, and interior imaging studio and paper cuts is our quarterly print project featuring work by selected artists, each highlighting one of our unique services. 

The selected artist for our spring edition is Abby Wynne of the amazing Chicago-based design team MAKE, for her artwork titled “You Are Beautiful”. Abby collages vintage flower images with the words You Are Beautiful cut out of them. The artwork is printed on birch-wood veneer and mounted to 1/2-inch cherry-wood panel. Animated Photography (Set of 4) by Jamila Hodges (On Tumblr) More experimentation in terms of animating still imagery. I plan to develop and experiment with this technique to its full potential, but right now I’m just enjoying exploring the possibilities. HAHA: Art should have aesthetic  more than the random on canvas nature… A story, an out of body experience that pulls you into the piece every time you view it. We like that this video seeks to posses that for this artist.
