WHO WE ARE!

MISSION STATEMENT

Arts education and programming is becoming increasingly inaccessible to a new generation. I see programs and funding either becoming obsolete or lacking the stability to continue fostering creative futures; we have to pick up that slack to educate, learn and share amongst each other.

So I founded HAHA MAG, an online quarterly Arts & Culture Magazine to celebrate art in all its forms. By keeping our finger on the pulse of the art world we hope to stimulate and awaken the desire for others to continue to use art as a vehicle to shape and reflect the varying viewpoints of their communities.

Even though it has a bigger sensibility, I don’t want to forget just how fun and alive the immersion into arts can make you feel – and how it helps us relate to one another. My goal is that this magazine will continue to branch out into working with organizations and foundations that share the goal to advocate for the arts.

FOUNDER/EDITOR IN CHIEF Ginger Rudolph (@HAHAMAG)
Ginger really believes that “blah, blah, blah. It doesn’t matter because I’M THE EDITOR” should cover it. Other people think that response was orchestrated to inspire a hipster appeal. Truth is, her staff wrote much better bios and now she’s intimidated, besides, she’s just too dang tired pulling this magazine together to give a hoot about what’s she’s done, she only cares about where she’s going.

ASSISTANT EDITOR Leighkaren Labay is a native New Yorker transplanted to Philly against her will by a gang of rogues. She is trying to earn her way back to the Big Apple slaving as a secretary by day and using her useless degree in Theology from New York University by night, while getting the opportunity to express her great love of art, a silver lining in the otherwise gloomy life of a worker bee.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR Lily Delphia (@LILYDELPH)
Lily is a city dweller that will never admit that she moved to Philadelphia from New Jersey aloud. She wears many hats around the city, mostly tall ones, sometimes with feathers or buttons on them. Starting out as a promotional model and full-time student, Lily has spread her talents to working as creative director of HAHA Magazine and is probably the only person on staff that still uses a PC. Lily can be found poking her nose into the the goings-on of the city’s best artists when she’s not doing homework or yelling at her laptop. As host for some of HAHA TV’s webisodes, she’ll be doing her best to bring out the “heavy antics”-laden side of the magazine.

CREATIVE Victoria Lewis
Victoria is a 24 year old Boston native who currently resides in downtown Philadelphia.  As a recent graduate of Moore College of Art and Design she has participated in a variety of exhibitions and performing art events that has sparked her passion to revive the arts and freedom of creative expression within her surrounding community.  As a practicing artist and designer she sees the arts as the past, present, and future answer to freedom from ignorance and indifference in her surrounding community and strives and to give young and old alike a voice in their community through individual and collaborative creative expression.

ART PANEL Anastascia Colzie
I am a recent graduate of Elizabethtown College, with a degree in History and Art History. Over the course of my college career, I interned at the Charles Demuth Art Museum and the Lancaster Museum of Art. I am an avid traveler and have made my way across Europe and back again. I have studied in Athens, Greece, and Germany, and have visited various other countries. As a lover of all things combining history and art, I never go anywhere without making a point to visit as many museums as possible, and I strive to maintain meaningful connections to the art world in all aspects of my life. My goal is to be a curator and travel the globe while bringing art to the masses. I’m also a music enthusiast, movie collector, literature lover, and am all around appreciative of anything culture-based.

“I am a creativist…I design, write, educate, annoy, inspire, flirt, photograph, and motivate. I drink red wine, create web copy on the Stairmaster, sing while driving, and have insatiable wanderlust. Bicep curls are my favorite exercise, Richard Bach is my reluctant messiah, and my son is my creative catalyst. I hate painting my nails but do it anyway. If I could only own one thing it would be a comfortable bed, and I secretly love to two-step. You will currently find me somewhere in Europe…with the boy…couch surfing, taking pictures, and gathering friends…I also make a mean cassoulet.”

Jennifer was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she spent her childhood.
She is now an Editorial Assistant at the National Geographic Society after graduating from The George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication.

COPY EDITOR Katrina Robinson
Katrina Robinson is a full-time freelance writer and editor who finds it difficult to work at home when her two chocolate labs won’t stop licking her toes. Her guilty pleasures include cheesy Lifetime movies, VC Andrews’ steamy fiction, and crappy teen soap operas–but don’t tell anyone. Her not-so-guilty pleasures include classic literature, macaroni and cheese, and horror movies.
